Our Legacy
Imperial Tex Fab started it’s legacy in 1992, with the name of Pashupati International at Fatehpur Sikri City near Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Fatehpur Sikri has historical acknowledgment for its heritage and culture as once it was the extravagant Capital city of the Mughal emperor, Akbar. Harnessing its birth from traditional design techniques of Fatehpur Sikri, where artisans are well trained and experts, the organization established its presence all over India. In the year 2005 Pashupati International got relocated at Biswan, Sitapur to continue the legacy.
In 2014, Pashupati International got renamed by the second generation of the family as Imperial Tex Fab and is operating since then and providing its clients with complete floor covering solutions and home decor made-ups that include carpets, rugs, bath mats, pillows, poufs, wall hangings, storage baskets and cushions.
Founder, Shri Mukesh Chandra Upadhyay played a huge role in developing handloom tradition in Biswan, especially in hand-made rugs. Imperial became the largest provider of a range of high-quality Hand-Made Rugs.
In India, the most common meaning for chindi( material used in hand-made rugs) is ‘torn cloth’; encountered either as a waste by-product in the textile industry (post-industrial) or, more commonly, as the end-of-life residue of fabrics in use in households (post-consumer). For generations, this form of textile waste, torn strips of cloth, has been repurposed as colorful twine for tapestry or household craft items, or hand-loom woven into floor mats and wall hangings from very small to very large. These products feature easy handling, durability, cost-effectiveness, superior quality, eco-friendly composition, and easy biodegrading ability.
With his utmost interest and in order to enhance his father’s vision of spreading the magnificence of art and craft in the handloom and textile industry, now Mr. Mayank Nitin Upadhyay is taking care Imperial Tex Fab. He aims to be the largest manufacturer and exporter of carpets and rugs in India by making Imperial Tex Fab synonymous with innovation and enterprise, the cornerstones of its philosophy.
